Coinbase Global (COIN) reported first-quarter revenue of $1.6B, ahead of the $1.45B consensus, as subscription and stablecoin revenue jumped 64% year over year to $510M. The results reduce Coinbase's dependence on transaction revenue, which still rose 50% on a rebounding crypto market.
CEO Brian Armstrong highlighted the growth of Base, the company's Layer-2 network, which crossed $5B in stablecoin supply. Adjusted EBITDA margin reached 34%.
